Kelly Sik was the original owner of Sandpiper Pools in Temecula. Kelly built nearly 1,500 pools between 1983 and 1996 when he decided to sell the company and pursue a lifelong dream in law enforcement.

Before taking on a career in law enforcement, Kelly built pools in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico: he completed projects such as Las Ventanas and Sheraton Hacienda del Mar Golf & Spa Resort, Los Cabos. Kelly returned to Temecula a short time later and opened Cabo Pools.

Due to constant pressure from friends and past customers, Kelly began building pools again while still employed full time in local law enforcement. Since 2001, Kelly has been constructing 40 to 50 pools a year for a select group of customers. In addition to building custom residential pools, Kelly was a consultant for Pala, Pechanga, and Harrahs Casino projects. It may seem hard to imagine how he has the time, but he does it very successfully.
“After building pools, spas and fountains for over 23 years in places like Las Vegas , Cabo San Lucas and numerous Indian Casinos, I'm really not afraid of taking on almost anything. But what I really enjoy the most is building private residence, high quality pools and spas for nice people who really appreciate the money they are spending. That's what we love to do.”
How can you build pools and give these projects the supervision they deserve if you have another full time job? “I have to surround myself with first class, highly experienced employees and choose my projects well. Obviously I can't be afraid of putting in some extra time too.”
